Job summary

Strategy Consulting Team (SCT) seeks multiple Engineer/Physical Scientist candidates to support the DOE/NNSA NA-11. Roles involve scientific and engineering expertise, program management, and coordination with national laboratories and academic partners in support of stockpile stewardship and experimental science.

Positions require advanced STEM degrees and security clearances and will be filled based on experience and contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s/PhD in engineering or physical science.
• At least five years of relevant experience at NNSA or equivalent.
• Experience in high energy density physics or nuclear physics.
• Current DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and engineering expertise to NA-11 research, development, testing, and evaluation programs.
• Serve as technical advisor or program management specialist for planning, execution, and evaluation of R&D projects.
• Review project documents to assess technical sufficiency, feasibility, cost, risks, and alignment with requirements.
• Evaluate ongoing programs for technical viability, progress, and coordination opportunities across the Nuclear Security Enterprise.
• Analyze information related to nuclear weapons and NA-11 programs from reports, papers, and plans.
• Develop and conduct technical reviews of projects, programs, and experiments.
• Participate on technical review teams evaluating readiness, risks, and staffing needs.
• Prepare clear assessments, white papers, briefing materials, and technical reports.
