Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Blackfoot, ID is seeking a Safety Specialist who will develop, support, and audit safety programs to uphold a strong safety culture. You will report to the Project Safety Director and help implement the Site Specific Safety Plan while aligning with contract, client, and corporate safety standards.

The role focuses on field safety program execution, incident investigations, and corrective actions across a DoE construction site.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA requirements in nuclear/DOE settings.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with field craft to champion the safety program.
• Exercise Stop Work Responsibility to enforce policies and work plans.
• Plan and problem-solve with operations using leading indicators.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain project files in OSHA/MSHA compliance and incident records.
• Provide safety training on policies and client requirements.
