Job summary

DBD International, a nuclear engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Project Planner to lead planning, scheduling and delivery of complex projects using Primavera P6. You will develop robust schedules, monitor progress and provide clear reporting to enable effective delivery.

The role requires flexible hours and strong coordination with project managers, engineers and clients to align plans with objectives, risk and change control, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related field.
• Senior project planning experience in nuclear or closely regulated sectors.
• Strong Primavera P6 skills to develop and analyse complex schedules.
• Good understanding of project controls, baselining, progress measurement and change control.
• Knowledge of nuclear delivery environments and safety/regulatory requirements.
• Analytical, organisational and communication excellence with stakeholders.
• PM/Planning qualification such as PMI, APM or AACE is advantageous.
• Current SC level clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Establish integrated schedules with milestones, dependencies and resources.
• Coordinate with managers, engineers and clients to align plans with delivery objectives.
• Monitor progress against baselines, identify variances and propose corrective actions.
• Produce planning reports, progress updates and schedule forecasts.
• Support schedule risk analysis, change management and impact assessments.
• Review contractor programs for interfaces and alignment with objectives.
• Ensure schedules meet nuclear safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide planning guidance and promote best practices in scheduling and controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of planning processes and reporting standards.
