Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an Electrical Engineer at Harris Nuclear Plant in North Carolina. The role supports Maintenance and Operations-Electrical engineering, ensuring equipment reliability and effective planning for maintenance activities. Requirements include a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering (ABET-accredited) with 4–6 years of experience; a Master’s degree is acceptable in lieu of a bachelor’s, and PE

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program required
• Minimum 4–6 years of engineering experience (Nuclear)
• Professional Engineer license preferred or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical guidance for problems of increasing scope within plant maintenance and operations
• Coordinate troubleshooting, equipment degradation analysis, and reliability improvements
• Plan, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities to align with plant goals
• Prepare thorough technical reports and coordinate problem resolution with cross-functional teams
