Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacy technician to draw, dispense and package radiopharmaceuticals under state and federal guidelines. Training will occur under a licensed Staff Pharmacist with focus on safe, accurate preparation and delivery to patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• National pharmacy technician registration preferred.
• Licensed in the state of Louisiana, required.
• Past IV experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Manual dexterity for dispensing and handling small objects.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Vendor credentialing may be required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and staff in preparing facility for daily operations.
• Follow standard operating procedures to facilitate ongoing pharmacy operations.
• Process customer orders to ensure timely delivery of medications.
• Perform administrative pharmacy tasks and assist customers.
• Maintain pharmacy safety through infection control procedures.
• Take direction from other staff to develop skills in pharmacy operations.
