Cardinal Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Texas to support daily operations, prepare and dispense radioactive medications, and assist customers with orders. The role requires a Texas license and sterile compounding certification, with training provided for nuclear procedures.

You will engage in administrative tasks, safety protocols, and mentor junior staff. Applicants should be 18+, able to lift up to 75 lbs, and comfortable with rotating shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Texas Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique Certification must be completed within 90 days of offer.
• National pharmacy technician registration preferred.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Weight handling up to 75 pounds may be required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment.
• Able to use computers, smartphones and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with daily operations: cleaning, equipment testing, stocking inventory, and preparing reports.
• Follow SOPs to organize, prepare and dispense radioactive medications per manufacturers and patient needs.
• Process and fulfill customer orders to ensure timely delivery of medications.
• Perform administrative tasks such as billing and answering questions to support operations.
• Maintain pharmacy safety by completing daily infection control procedures.
• Mentor and train pharmacy tech trainees.

Skills

Texas Pharmacy Technician license

Sterile Compounding & Aseptic Tech

National registry preferred

Previous Pharmacy Technician exp

Past IV experience a plus

Strong verbal/written communication

Strong customer service skills

Flexible to shifts
