Job summary

Cardinal Health Nuclear Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to provide radiopharmaceuticals and other drugs under regulatory guidelines. You will lead staffing, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with physicians and technologists.

The role requires a CA license, nuclear pharmacy training, and willingness to travel. Expect variable shifts, on-call coverage, and a focus on cost-effective, compliant operations within a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD preferred.
• Valid CA Pharmacist License preferred.
• Minimum 200 hours nuclear pharmacy training.
• Knowledge of biohazardous waste procedures preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with health care professionals.
• Willingness to travel and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Flexible to work varying shifts and overtime.
• Authorized User certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacare to patients; compound nuclear meds; test quality via chromatography; direct medication distribution with drivers.
• Maintain inventory and execute orders to ensure drug availability; procure alternatives as needed.
• Lead hiring, onboarding and performance management for pharmacy staff.
• Direct internal workflows and staffing for efficient operations.
• Assist in cost reduction and efficiency initiatives to support growth.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and assist in demand planning.
• Participate in administrative tasks and customer interactions.
