Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. seeks a Nuclear Pharmacist to deliver radiopharmaceuticals with precision in a highly regulated setting. You will oversee compounding, testing, distribution, and patient care within hospital and imaging center networks.

This role involves rotating day and night shifts on a five-week cycle, weekend coverage, and occasional travel to support coverage at partner pharmacies. You will lead staff, manage inventories, and ensure safety and compliance across the nuclear pharmacy

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
Valid Pharmacist’s license in the operating state or in the process of obtaining one.
2–4 years of experience preferred.
Willingness to travel to other pharmacies as needed to provide coverage.
Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, or rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

Provides pharmaceutical care to patients as staff pharmacist, including compounding nuclear medications and quality testing.
Directs distribution of medication using a driver team and maintains inventory.
Leads hiring, onboarding, and performance management of pharmacy staff.
Manages internal workflows and optimizes staffing and scheduling.
Assists in cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and driving profitable growth in nuclear pharmacy.
Maintains relationships with outside suppliers and vendors for drug components and demand planning.
Participates in administrative tasks to facilitate operations and interactions with customers.
Delivers doses when necessary and provides emergency coverage as needed.
