Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. seeks a Packaging and Transportation Manager to lead safety‑driven packaging and shipping of nuclear and classified materials. You will ensure compliance with DOE, DOT, NRC and international standards while guiding a team and optimizing processes.

You will oversee scheduling, carrier selection, and audits, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness, mentoring staff and maintaining regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, physical sciences, or equivalent technical experience.
• 4+ years of nuclear industry experience.
• Strong communication skills—oral and written.
• A collaborative approach to working in a team environment.
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee packaging and transportation—from scheduling shipments to auditing processes and driving improvements.
• Manage programs for classified and nuclear materials, ensuring DOE/DOT/NRC and international standards compliance.
• Apply ALARA principles to radioactive transport and mentor the team to stop work when safety or compliance is at risk.
