Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Columbia, SC seeks a Senior Nuclear Transport Specialist to lead transportation policy development and oversee shipments of radioactive and non-radioactive nuclear products to licensed consignees and Westinghouse locations.

You will report to the US Transport & Logistics Senior Manager in a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days onsite at the Columbia plant, coordinating with multiple teams and ensuring regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8–10 years in a regulated, global transportation/logistics function; experience shipping hazardous materials preferred.
• Subject matter expertise in Class 7 - Radioactive Materials Transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and implement the physical movement of shipments and prepare all legally required documentation.
• Implement transportation plans for complex logistics projects through analysis of conditions for delivery, regulatory requirements, alternatives, and cost.
• Manage metrics for U.S. Transport Operations and provide periodic reporting on shipments, milestones and supplier performance.
• Collaborate among project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional departments.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local and site regulations and support audits.
• Write and revise procedures to ensure safety, regulatory compliance and site work requirements.
