Job summary

Duke Energy seeks an experienced trainer to design, deliver, and evaluate accredited operations training programs for licensed and non-licensed operators. You will develop materials, conduct classroom, simulator, and in-plant training, and administer exams to ensure technical competence and SAT adherence.

Responsibilities include program evaluation, alignment with INPO/NRC standards, and collaboration with the Operations team.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques through training or experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for instruction.
• Ability to learn and apply new software used for tracking and training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, and update training materials for accuracy.
• Conduct classroom, flow loop, simulator and in-plant training sessions.
• Develop, administer, grade, and manage examinations and evaluation tools.
• Evaluate training programs and student performance; implement improvements.
• Ensure programs comply with INPO and NRC requirements and customer expectations.
• Participate in site and industry training assessments, audits, and evaluations.
• Coordinate with Operations and maintain diverse qualifications for classes.
• Support Emergency Response Organization qualification efforts.
• Assist Outage organization during scheduled refueling outages as needed.
