Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an undergraduate intern to support the SPL Operation group. This internship provides hands-on experience in precision manufacturing and nuclear operations workflows, including in-cell CNC machining, robotics-assisted material handling, and automated transfer processes.

You will help troubleshoot equipment, support startup of new operational processes, and develop foundational nuclear operations skills under experienced technicians and engineers.

Qualifications

• Enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program in engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT/OPT) and ability to provide resume, transcripts and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist with in-cell CNC machining.
• Assist with robotics-assisted material handling.
• Support automated transfer processes and startup of new operational processes.
• Troubleshoot equipment and develop foundational nuclear operations skills under supervision.
