Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a mid-career Operational Estimator to support quantity takeoffs, estimating, and change order preparation across our nuclear market disciplines. The role requires collaboration with engineers and designers and may involve travel to site locations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of estimating experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to meet deadlines with effective communication. This is a full-time opportunity based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in estimating and quantity takeoffs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Must meet deadlines and possess strong work ethic.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and interpret RFPs, specifications, and drawings.
• Perform quantity takeoff, estimating, pricing, and change proposal development tasks.
• Conduct project site walks as needed to support estimating and change proposals.
• Support preconstruction activities including Class 3–5 estimates and value engineering.
• Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers for constructability input.
• Participate in planning sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.
