Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Nuclear Operations Planner to support NSM in planning and executing nuclear production work for new construction ships. You will assist Project Managers, drive improvements, and interface with multiple departments to resolve shipyard-wide issues.

Responsibilities include organizing test readiness for deckplate leads, leading investigations, capturing lessons learned, and tracking quality and material deficiencies to enhance performance in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years operations planning, trade, engineering, or finance experience.
  • Preferred: manufacturing/shipbuilding leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, develop and track ready for test requirements for NSM deckplate leads.
  • Lead investigations and debriefs associated with deckplate and team learning sessions.
  • Capture lessons learned and debrief key work activities to improve VCS performance.
  • Drive process improvements with trade collaboration to completion.
  • Interface with management from various departments to improve nuclear work activity performance.
  • Manage department quality functions such as surveillances, audit responses and assessments.
  • Track and manage nuclear material deficiencies.
