Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an entry-level nuclear engineer to perform thermal and hydraulic analyses supporting the FORD Class Aircraft Carrier Fleet. You will join a multidisciplinary team evaluating reactor performance, supporting core manufacturing, and driving improvements.

Learn to use thermal/hydraulic analysis codes, execute analyses on high-performance computing systems, and determine reactor plant performance and operations. Join our mission-focused team supporting the U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters in engineering or related science field.
  • Background in thermal/hydraulic design and analysis.
  • Strong initiative and ability to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal and hydraulic analyses for reactor performance.
  • Prepare analyses and run them on high-performance computing systems.
  • Support reactor core manufacturing and develop performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary reactor performance analysis team.
