Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs nuclear medicine procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality multimodality imaging, using AIDET to communicate with patients, preparing patients and equipment, and maintaining equipment and records in compliance with safety

Qualifications

• ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech certification and CNMT certification required.
• Ability to perform high-quality multimodality nuclear medicine procedures according to exam protocol.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality nuclear medicine procedures according to exam protocol.
• Uses AIDET when communicating with patients to identify service requirements and establish rapport.
• Prepares patient and area for procedure and adjusts equipment as needed.
• Maintains safety, infection-control, and radiation policies and proper sterile techniques.
• Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality standards and coordinates with engineers/physicists.
