Position Summary

MedStar Health is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Schedule: Tuesdays & Fridays, 7:15am - 4:00pm

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will perform cardiac nuclear testing to ensure high-quality patient care and service.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Participate in quality assurance programs, maintain ICANL accreditation, and coordinate equipment maintenance and emergency services.
2. Manage daily patient schedules, ensure correct dosing of radioisotopes, and communicate with vendors for supplies.
3. Maintain accurate patient data logs and images, perform cardiac nuclear testing following ICANL guidelines.
4. Conduct quality controls on equipment, prepare diagnostic reports, and provide patient instructions.
5. Recognize abnormal patient responses, alert physicians, and ensure timely communication of results.

Qualifications

1. Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine.
2. Current Nuclear license (NRC or Maryland).
3. CPR (BLS and NRP) certification from AHA or Red Cross.
4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
5. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
6. Post-graduation experience in cardiac nuclear testing preferred.

Position salary range: $34.98 - $62.52 per hour.
