a Radiology Technologist to join our MedStar Health Urgent Care team!
As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform clinical and administrative duties within MedStar Health settings, following policies and procedures. You will work under the supervision of a physician, performing patient intake, standing orders or protocols, venipuncture, laboratory testing, and patient follow-up. Additionally, you may administer oral, IM, SC, or intradermal medications when ordered by a provider, after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or designee. Certified Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) as Radiologic Technologists also perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images. This position involves documentation in the medical record and supporting optimal patient flow.

Adhere to MedStar Health Code of Conduct and Compliance plan; comply with governmental and accreditation guidelines. Complete scheduled training including safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service. Clean, stock, sterilize equipment, and prepare patient rooms. Deliver patient care with high regard for safety and quality.
Embrace new technology and electronic health records. Manage patient flow with communication, perform testing (spirometry/PFTs, vitals, BMI, EKGs, vision/hearing tests, splinting), and conduct patient follow-up calls professionally.
Perform venipuncture, select laboratory testing, and initiate care pathways. Take X-rays per provider orders, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety standards. Communicate professionally and promote respect.
Provide care aligned with MedStar's mission, supporting patient confidence and loyalty. Assist in patient discharge and support new initiatives to improve care and experience.
Support team members during downtime, assist at the front desk, and support medical providers during examinations and testing. Under supervision, prepare and administer medications and injections after demonstrating competency.
This position offers a hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68.
