Job summary

UCHealth in Loveland, CO is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging and therapy in a fast-paced department. You will review histories, schedule, educate patients, and manage radiopharmaceuticals per protocols with strict safety standards.

Responsibilities include preprocessing, administering contrast media as needed, optimizing exposure and imaging parameters, reporting results, and maintaining equipment quality control. 1 year minimum experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the NMTCB or certified as Technologist (RT) and certified in NM by ARRT. State licensure if required by law. BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyses results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
