Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Sonographer/Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging and therapy in the MCR PET CT department in Loveland, CO. The role includes scheduling, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, monitoring patients, and ensuring high-quality imaging results.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program, hold CNMT or ARRT NM certification with state licensure if required, and have at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by NMTCB or ARRT NM; state licensure if required; BLS.
• Minimum experience: 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and scheduling; educates patient about procedures and exam.
• Prepares, administers, stores and disposes radiopharmaceuticals per protocols; monitors patient condition.
• Prepares equipment; selects exposure factors; performs QC; troubleshoots malfunctions.

Department: MCR PET CT
Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days - 0830-1700
Pay: $60.00 per hour plus travel package/stipend
LOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles
13 week assignments available

Summary

• Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and does scheduling. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including re-positioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program.
• Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or certified as a Technologist (RT) and certified in nuclear medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year Required.

Sonographer
