Job summary

The Valley Hospital seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and operate a Gamma camera and PET/CT scanner. In this role, you'll administer radiopharmaceuticals and produce computer-generated scans for diagnostic purposes. Candidates should have completed an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and hold current certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of practical experience preferred as a staff technologist.
• Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment and perform various exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate a Gamma camera and PET/CT scanner.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals following specific physician orders.
• Produce detailed computer-generated scans for diagnostic use.
• Maintain facilities in proper order.

Skills

Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology with certification

Current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP

Current CPR certification thru the American Heart Association

Physical dexterity to operate sensitive equipment

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and vascular systems

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Ability to perform tasks accurately with attention to detail

Ability to function independently in stressful situations

Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system

Effective time management skills

Education

Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program

Registered in Nuclear Medicine by the ARRT and/or NMTCB
