Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, calibrate instruments daily, and ensure patient safety across all studies.

You will review physician orders for accuracy, obtain informed consent when required, process and review images with physicians, document medical history, and enter patient charges in the system, following safety protocols and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program and certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or NMTCB.
• OR meets the eligibility requirements for certification. within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Associate's Degree or higher AND Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or NMTCB.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders for accuracy and seek clarification prior to beginning exam.
• Calibrate instruments daily and take radioactivity readings to ensure safety.
• Perform imaging for surgical and therapeutic procedures and obtain scans/interpret results with a physician.
• Enter patient charges into the computer and document relevant medical history.
• Follow safety guidelines to prevent overexposure and comply with hospital policies.
