Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic procedures for adult and geriatric patients. You will operate radiology equipment, ensure patient safety and comfort, and process images for physician review.

Responsibilities include scheduling, mentoring staff and students, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a busy radiology department on site in Fall River, MA.

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
  • Must hold current ARRT certification.
  • Current license to work in Rhode Island.
  • Ability to meet core professional competencies and patient-care requirements.
  • Clinical experience required for certification.

Responsibilities

  • Explain radiologic examinations to patients to reduce apprehension and ensure safety.
  • Schedule patients to ensure efficient flow in radiology.
  • Process radiographic images and upload to PACS for physician review.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures with proper anatomical positioning and technical factors.
  • Operate radiographic equipment and assist in contrast administration.
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and supplies in the radiology area.
  • Train radiologic staff and students as needed.
  • Follow RIS and PACS usage protocols and hospital policies.
