HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Imaging Team on a PRN basis. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring careful, compassionate and accurate patient care.

The role requires licensing, recent experience, and strong adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities include preparing isotopes, operating gamma/scintillation cameras, positioning patients, and documenting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical schooling in nuclear medicine.
• Associate Degree from AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Current/Active Florida Nuclear Medicine License.
• Minimum of one year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsabilités

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
• Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration and record dosages.
• Perform diagnostic studies using scanners to detect radiation and produce images.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Monitor, record, and communicate using computerized documentation.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
