Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team on a PRN basis. You will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using radioactive isotopes and ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualified candidates hold a Florida CRT, NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification, and preferably 1 year of experience. Proficiency with MEDITECH and gamma cameras is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist program (AMA-Approved School).
• Current Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Minimum of one year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience preferred.
• Current NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of GAMMA cameras.
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
• Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders; Administer and record dosages as well.
• Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
• Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH).
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
