Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team on a PRN/per diem basis. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals with careful, compassionate, and respectful patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
• Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) active or clear.
• Minimum 1–3 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
• Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients per physician orders; may administer dosages.
• Perform diagnostic studies using scanners or cameras to produce organ images.
• Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
• Explain procedures compassionately to patients.
• Monitor, record and document using MEDITECH.
• Assist with transporting patients as needed.
