Job summary

The Nuclear Medicine technologist at Wellstar provides safe, age-appropriate care by performing department exams, sets up equipment and positions patients for procedures, and ensures quality diagnostic studies.

You will maintain infection control, verify orders, manage radiopharmaceuticals, document thoroughly, respond to emergencies, and support colleagues across modalities as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology or CNMT certification required; BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Adjust technique to optimize image quality and patient safety.
• Verify patient identity and orders; document procedures in RIS/PACS as required.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols.
• Assist with restocking, infection control, and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient comfort and privacy throughout exams.
