Job summary

The Miriam Hospital seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform routine studies, operate gamma cameras, process and verify images in PACS, and support radiology physicians in daily operations.

The role requires formal Nuclear Medicine training, current Rhode Island licensure, ARRT or CNMT certification, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while upholding safety and quality standards for adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

  • Formal training in an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology is required.
  • Must hold current Rhode Island license and ARRT or CNMT certification.
  • Ability to operate nuclear medicine equipment and perform radiopharmaceutical calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and perform patient studies and analyses per procedures.
  • Operate gamma cameras, dose calibrator, well counter and related equipment.
  • Input and verify required information in PACS; verify images for radiologist review.
  • Bill patients for supplies and ensure proper coding and documentation.
  • Maintain daily quality assurance on imaging and monitoring devices; perform wipe tests.
