Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform radiopharmaceutical imaging and data handling in a clinical setting. The role requires adherence to Nuclear Medicine guidelines and radiation safety principles.

You will educate patients, prepare them for procedures, and ensure image quality through careful positioning and data entry. Collaboration with Radiologists and flexibility across locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (NMTCB).
• Must hold NMTCB or ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential (R.T(N)).
• BART or BLS at hire with plan to obtain BART within 6 months.
• Recent graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program or recent related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine to complex Nuclear Medicine procedures using radioactive materials following guidelines.
• Prepare and position patients to achieve high quality images per Radiologist protocols.
• Enter complex data into computer systems and review images for quality and accuracy.
• Educate patients and communicate patient information to Radiologist; perform other duties as assigned.
