Qualifikationen

• Performs nuclear medicine procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
• Adheres to quality control guidelines set by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and Intersocietal Accreditation Nuclear Cardiology.

Aufgaben

• Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
• Maintain a friendly working atmosphere and establish relationships with offices and physicians; notify supervisor when calling out.
• Verify patient identity using two forms of ID; explain procedures clearly to patients and ensure records are available.
• Perform venipuncture, explain the procedure, prepare equipment, and document procedures; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures; inform patients of progress and coordinate post-procedure steps.
• Set up equipment per Radiologist guidelines; manage supplies and operate peripheral equipment; verify image quality.
• Transfer and complete scans; ensure correct labeling and RIS/PACS documentation; deliver images to correct locations.
• Monitor equipment and perform routine cleaning; troubleshoot and escalate issues to service when needed.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals; maintain hot lab logs and regulatory records.
