Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in West Palm Beach, FL. The role involves performing medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The candidate must hold an Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology, Florida licensure in Nuclear Medicine, and ARRT-N or NMTCB certification, with BLS and Florida license current.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine required.
• ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification required (ARRT-N or NMTCB).
• Current Florida Nuclear Medicine Technologist License required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders for accuracy.
• Explain procedures clearly and obtain consent when required.
• Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging and non-imaging procedures per protocols.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment (gamma cameras) and related systems.
• Format, archive, and transmit imaging data to PACS with proper presentation.
• Perform data analysis and provide results to physicians.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety regulations and quality control.
