Job summary

NYU Langone Florida in West Palm Beach is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures under general supervision. You will ensure high-quality diagnostic results while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include imaging, radiopharmaceutical prep, safety, and quality control across HIS/RIS/PACS systems, with patient-centered care and collaboration with physicians.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology required.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine required.
• ARRT-N or NMTCB certification required; BLS certification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review orders for accuracy.
• Explain procedures and obtain consent when required.
• Prepare patients, ensure comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patients and respond to adverse reactions.
• Operate gamma cameras and related systems for imaging.
• Format and transmit data to PACS; ensure proper labeling.
• Perform quality control checks on equipment and logs.
