Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is hiring a Nuclear Med Technologist for the Radiology department. The role performs medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.

The candidate must hold an Associate’s Degree or Certificate in Radiologic Technology, NYS radiologic license in nuclear medicine, ARRT NM or NMTCB certification, and a NYS nuclear medicine technologist license. BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine.
• ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB Certification required.
• Current NYS Nuclear Medicine Technologist License required.
• BLS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physician orders for accuracy.
• Explain procedures, obtain consent, and prepare patients for imaging.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging per protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment and acquire diagnostic images.
• Maintain safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control logs.
• Document procedures and coordinate with care team.
