Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in West Palm Beach, FL. You will perform medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures and work under supervision to assure high-quality results while maintaining patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, processing and evaluating images, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology required.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist license in Nuclear Medicine required.
• ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification required; Florida NM license required.
• BLS certification and strong communication with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform medically prescribed nuclear medicine procedures with patient safety in mind.
• Verify orders, obtain consent, prepare patients and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
• Operate gamma cameras; acquire, process, and evaluate diagnostic images.
• Format and transmit imaging data to PACS with correct anatomical presentation.
• Monitor patients and respond to adverse events; adjust techniques as needed.
• Prepare, dose, handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials per regs.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain logs and reports.
• Provide supervision to students and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Schedule exams, manage workflow, and ensure equipment readiness.
