Qualifikationen

• Nuclear Medicine Technologist credential required.
• ARRT or NMTCB certification required.
• ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) within 6 months of hire.
• BLS/Basic Life Support required.
• Graduate of CHEA/AMA/JRCNMT Nuclear Medicine program or equivalent.
• 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital setting preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures by preparing, administering and measuring radioactive isotopes.
• Calculate, measure and record radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals.
• Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients’ bodies.
• Perform quality control checks on laboratory equipment.
• Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
• Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients.
