Job summary

Aurora Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform general and cardiac nuclear medicine procedures, review records, and ensure accurate exam delivery.

You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, perform venipuncture, and label images with patient identifiers. Responsibilities include RIS data entry, billing code documentation, equipment QA, and patient transport while following ALARA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent knowledge.
• ARRT NM registration or NMTCB certification.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to intermediate nuclear medicine procedures including general and cardiac.
• Reviews medical records and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals; performs venipuncture and IV placement.
• Relays pertinent patient history to staff; ensures proper labeling and documentation.
• Post-processes images and records patient identifiers and scan location.
• Maintains RIS records and documents billing codes for charges.
• Identifies equipment issues; performs QA tests and reports malfunctions.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting; adheres to ALARA.
• Delivers age-appropriate care and effective communication with patients and staff.
