Job summary

Aurora Health Care Southern Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform basic to intermediate nuclear medicine procedures including general and cardiac imaging.

The role requires reviewing medical records and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy, and preparing radiopharmaceuticals with proper venipuncture techniques. The incumbent will maintain compliance with regulatory agencies, input billing codes, and ensure accurate image labeling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Nuclear Medicine.
• Licensure: ARRT(N) or NMTCB(CNMT) within specified timelines.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to intermediate nuclear medicine procedures including general and cardiac.
• Review patient records, orders, and history to ensure exam accuracy.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals; perform venipuncture/IV placement.
• Process and label images with patient name, MRU number, and scan location.
• Maintain records per regulatory agencies and document billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests; report malfunctions.
• Assist with patient positioning and transporting; lift and move as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care with awareness of growth and development.
