Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in radiologic technology.
• New York State radiologic technologist license in nuclear medicine.
• ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification.
• Current NYS Nuclear Medicine Technologist License.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization’s Service Standards and incorporates them into duties.
• Operates hospital and radiology information systems; selects correct patient data and documents timing in RIS.
• Assesses patient information and status; verifies patient identity and requisition.
• Explains procedures to patients and obtains consent; ensures privacy and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Prepares radiopharmaceutical doses; performs dose calculations and QA checks.
