Job summary

Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine procedures for outpatients. You will support diagnostic and therapeutic imaging and ensure regulatory compliance.

Certification (CNMT or ARRT) upon hire is required. You will prepare radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging equipment, and assist physicians in diagnostic exams, following NRC regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or certificate in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine as required.
• CNMT or ARRT certification upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; 1–3 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals for administration and operates imaging equipment.
• Performs quality control tests on radiopharmaceuticals and imaging equipment.
• Assists in development and implementation of new procedures.
• Follows Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations.
• Completes nuclear medicine exams with correct patient doses and camera setup.
• Assists physicians in performing specific diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams.

Education

Associate's or a certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiology or Nuclear Medicine

Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB Upon Hire

Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) - ARRT Upon Hire

Bachelor's

1-3 years experience as Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist
