Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic Nuclear Medicine exams, collaborate with radiologists, and maintain imaging quality. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and adherence to regulatory guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a full-time schedule in Denver with competitive pay and a $10,000 sign-on bonus where applicable. Ideal candidates will possess ARRT/NMTCB certification, state licensure, BLS, and IV certification.

Qualifications

Current state license and national certification required.
ARRT or NMTCB certification must be current.
BLS certification for healthcare providers is required.
IV certification for healthcare providers is required.

Responsibilities

Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.
Prepares patients for exams with proper identification and verification.
Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality.
Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
Follows NRC and other regulatory guidelines for radiopharmaceuticals.
Completes studies within acceptable time limits while preserving patient care quality.
Instructs students and Radiology Techs on protocols and equipment.
Provides patient education and ensures comfort and safety.
Maintains infection control and sterile techniques.
Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
Keeps accurate patient procedure records as required by licensing bodies.
Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC.
