Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing the full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. Responsible for delivering quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput and exam performance. Operates and performs quality control on stationary and portable scintillation equipment, including gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuclear Medicine, and CT diagnostic studies on PET / CT scanners, including contrast media injections, image acquisition, and reformatting. Also responsible for scans and procedures necessary for scanner qualification in research trials, creating and programming study-specific protocols under supervision.
