Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing a full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. This includes providing quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput, and performing exams. Operates and performs quality control on stationary and portable scintillation equipment such as gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET / CT scanners, including injection of contrast media, image acquisition, and reformatting. Responsible for executing scans and procedures to support scanner qualification for research trials. Creates and programs study-specific protocols, including administration, imaging, and reformatting, under supervision.
