Job summary

Providence Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients under supervision.

You will support radiologists and the department, promote patient-centered care, and collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure timely imaging, accurate documentation, and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or National Registered Technologist.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents quality nuclear medicine procedures across neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Promotes teamwork and supports radiologist and supervisor in departmental duties.
• Ensures timely, accurate documentation and maintains safety and quality standards.

Job description

Under minimal supervision, performs and documents quality nuclear medicine procedures (invasive and noninvasive) on neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a timely manner as ordered by the physician. Supports supervisor and radiologist in carrying out their duties that in turn contribute to an effective an efficient Nuclear Medicine department. Promotes positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other employees demonstrating teamwork to ensure excellent patient care, esprit de corps, and positive comments from all concerned parties.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Training program.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at Mission Hospital
• Infant through adult nuclear medicine procedure experience.
• Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.
