Job summary

Providence is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform and document quality nuclear medicine procedures for patients of all ages, under minimal supervision. You will support the radiology team to ensure efficient operations and foster a collaborative environment dedicated to patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or National Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document quality nuclear medicine procedures for patients from neonate to geriatric.
• Support supervisor and radiologist to ensure efficient Nuclear Medicine services.
• Promote teamwork and deliver patient-focused care.

Description

Under minimal supervision, performs and documents quality nuclear medicine procedures (invasive and noninvasive) on neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a timely manner as ordered by the physician. Supports supervisor and radiologist in carrying out their duties that in turn contribute to an effective an efficient Nuclear Medicine department. Promotes positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other employees demonstrating teamwork to ensure excellent patient care, esprit de corps, and positive comments from all concerned parties.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Training program.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at Mission Hospital
• Infant through adult nuclear medicine procedure experience.
• Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.
