Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or National Registered Technologist credentials upon hire.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS from American Heart Association upon hire.
• 6 months experience in nuclear medicine within the last 12 months or 2 years full-time with <=1 year absence.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures and data processing to produce diagnostic images.
• Exercise professional judgment and maintain ethical standards in patient care.
• Collaborate with licensed practitioners to interpret results and support patient care.

Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is Full Time and will work -hour, Day shifts.

The nuclear Medicine technologist provides health care services using radionuclides to assist in diagnosis and treatment. He/she has the advanced skills to perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of data and other technical tasks necessary to produce images for the interpretation by, and at the request of a licensed practitioner. He/she exercises professional judgment in the performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics while providing appropriate care essential for successful completion of procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 6 months experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program).
