Job summary

Providence Health & Services in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform and document quality nuclear medicine procedures across neonatal to geriatric patients.

Under minimal supervision, you will support radiologists and supervisors, ensuring timely exams, patient safety, and teamwork within our Mission Hospital facility. The role offers full-time hours with a base pay range shown above.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Training program.
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or equivalent at hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine at hire.
• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification at hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association at hire.

• Perform and document quality nuclear medicine procedures for all ages.
• Support radiologist and supervisor to ensure efficient department.
• Promote teamwork and high patient care standards.
• Maintain compliance with certification and safety guidelines.

Description

Under minimal supervision, performs and documents quality nuclear medicine procedures (invasive and noninvasive) on neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a timely manner as ordered by the physician. Supports supervisor and radiologist in carrying out their duties that in turn contribute to an effective an efficient Nuclear Medicine department. Promotes positive working relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other employees demonstrating teamwork to ensure excellent patient care, esprit de corps, and positive comments from all concerned parties.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training and Graduate of Nuclear Medicine Training program.
• Upon hire: National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Or
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Upon hire: California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working with cameras/computers of the same manufacturer as those at Mission Hospital
• Infant through adult nuclear medicine procedure experience.
• Intravenous administration experience with pediatric patients.
