Job summary

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Program Discipline in Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB if not state grandfathered.
  • BLS certification required by completion of hospital orientation.
  • Certification: NMTCB if not grandfathered by the state.
  • BLS certification by hospital orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for imaging.
  • Processes data and enhances digital images.
  • Provides images and patient information for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality and calibration.
  • Processes images for radiologist review.

A Radiology Tech who excels in this role:

  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
  • Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
  • Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
  • Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Processes the images for radiologist review.

What We're Looking For
  • Education: Associate degree Required; Graduate of a Program Discipline in Nuclear Medicine Required; Bachelor's degree Preferred
  • Licensures: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB if not grandfathered by the state.
  • Certifications: BLS required by completion of hospital orientation.
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
