Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our clinical team on a PRN, days schedule. You will review patient history, educate patients, and perform imaging procedures with a focus on safety and quality.

The role involves positioning patients, acquiring images, and reporting results to physicians. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology and active licensure, with BLS and a commitment to delivering

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology completed.
• Current license/ certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT preferred).
• BLS certification may be required by hospital orientation.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patients about procedures and exams.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Set exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Ensure safety standards and perform quality control on equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and resolve image quality issues.
• Enter and report scan results.

How You'll Contribute

A Radiology Tech who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare equipment and supplies.
• Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Associate's degree Preferred; Graduate of a Program in Radiological Technology
• Licensure/Certifications: Current license American Associate of Radiologic Technologists
• BLS required by completion of hospital orientation.
