Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our imaging team. The role supports compassionate patient care, accurate imaging, and strict safety standards in a busy clinical setting.

You will review orders, educate patients, prepare equipment, perform imaging procedures, and help ensure high-quality results. This PRN, day-shift role offers flexible coverage within a dedicated radiology team.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required.
  • Current ARRT licensure in radiologic technology.
  • BLS certification required by hospital orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Review patient history and orders.
  • Educate patients about procedures.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies.
  • Perform imaging procedures with correct exposure and positioning.
  • Ensure safety standards and quality control.
  • Enter and report scan results.

How you'll contribute

ARadiology Techwho excels in this role:

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.

  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

  • Prepare equipment and supplies.

  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).

  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.

  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

What we're looking for
  • Education: Associate's degree Preferred; Graduate of a Program in Radiological Technology

  • Licensure/Certifications: Current license American Associate of Radiologic Technologists

  • BLS required by completion of hospital orientation.
