Job summary

Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, NC, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team. The role involves administering radiopharmaceuticals, acquiring and processing images, and providing data for diagnostic interpretation.

You will work with radiologists to ensure high-quality studies and patient care. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology, NMTCB registration, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology and NMTCB registration.
• 1+ years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging.
• Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced technology.
• Provides images and data for diagnostic interpretation.
• Evaluates image quality and calibrates instrumentation.
• Prepares images for radiologist review.

How you'll contribute

• Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.

• Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
• Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
• Processes the images for radiologist review.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an Associate's Degree, be a graduate of an approved course in Nuclear Medicine Technology, and one or more years of experience in Nuclear Medicine with a Nuclear Medicine registration. Additional requirements include:

• Licenses: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB if not grandfathered by the state.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
